About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Programmer at Syneos Health, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of software solutions for clinical trials. This involves utilizingprimary development tools such as Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, and SAS to design, write, validate, and maintain software according to specifications. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of clinical trials and the development of new treatments.You will be part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction. With a strong focus on drug development, our Clinical Solutions team works closely with clients to navigate complexity, anticipate change, and accelerate progress. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical guidance and support to junior programmers and contribute to the development of best practices.

What You Will Do
- Utilize primary development tools such as Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, and SAS to design, write, validate, and maintain software according to specifications
- Generate and maintain all required documentation, including development of specifications, programs, and validation efforts
- Serve on project teams to coordinate and lead development activities for clinical programming projects
- Attend meetings, participate in discussions, and use an analytical approach to problem-solving
- Keep project managers informed of any issues that might impact project target dates, scope, or budget
- Provide technology support to the clinical programming staff, Project Analysts, Data Managers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality deliverables by providing senior review of study-level, program-level, and multi-study core deliveries for accuracy
- Attend sponsor audits and assist with in-progress audits
- Review and provide input on study budgets and monitor scope of work
What We Are Looking For

- Experience with clinical programming tools such as Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, and SAS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality documentation
- Experience with regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical trials
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, programming, or life sciences
- Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical programming or a related field

- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Certification in clinical programming or a related field
