About the Role

As a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner, you will play a key role in driving business and technology insights for world-leading organizations. You will be part of the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, establishing yourself as a credible voice in your designated market. Your expertise in enterprise architecture will be crucial in producing pragmatic and provocative insights that clients can apply to propel their business forward.

The role of a Senior Director Analyst is multifaceted, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills. You will be responsible for creating innovative, thought-provoking content that addresses the complex challenges faced by clients. Your ability to analyze market trends, predict shifts, and provide actionable insights will be essential in driving client engagement and revenue growth.

As a leader within the BTI group, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research process improvements and develop new processes that enhance service delivery. Your experience in leading or directing enterprise architecture activities will be valuable in mentoring junior team members and supporting the workflow of others.

What You Will Do

  • Develop innovative, thought-provoking content that addresses client needs and requests
  • Conduct research and analysis to predict market trends and shifts
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients and vendors
  • Engage with clients through virtual or face-to-face interactions, including sales support visits and Gartner conferences
  • Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings
  • Collaborate with peers in the Insights community to identify research process improvements
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to support their growth and development
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions to drive thought leadership
  • Represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
  • Travel up to 25% (where applicable) to attend conferences, client meetings, and other events

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience leading or directing enterprise architecture activities
  • Technical expertise in one or more domain areas: AI, data, applications, infrastructure, etc.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to engage clients and answer questions effectively
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect technical expertise with C-level strategy
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data, with the ability to apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables
