About the Role
The Sr. Director, HR Business Partner role at Scholar Rock is a critical position that provides strategic HR leadership and support to the US and Global Operations teams. As a trusted advisor to leaders, the successful candidate will provide expert HR advice and advanced solutions to enable the achievement of business strategies. This role will drive talent, culture, change management, and operational excellence for the US and Global organizations.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the biotech/pharma industry and experience partnering with field-based commercial organizations. The role will oversee the delivery of HR programs and services, including leadership, talent acquisition, and talent management, as well as employee development, coaching, compensation processes, performance management, and organization and change management.

What You Will Do
- Provide strategic HR leadership and expert guidance to the US and Global Operations organization
- Proactively define, build, and implement value-added HR strategies and solutions
- Partner with Talent teams to establish strategies and tactics to deliver the people and talent strategy
- Build strong partnerships with HR specialist functions to provide HR solutions to key business needs
- Implement and manage key HR processes, including the year-end performance management process
- Manage employee relation issues and implement appropriate employee action and accountability practices
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers to address employee behavior and performance
- Assist with the development and delivery of performance feedback or action plans
- Lead Employee Relations processes and procedures to enable effective management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving
What We Are Looking For
- 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education with experience in HR business partnering, employee relations, or related discipline
- Deep understanding of the biotech/pharma industry and experience partnering with field-based commercial organizations
- Experience developing and implementing HR plans and strategies supporting a US and Global Operations organization
- Highly experienced in talent management, succession planning, leadership, and employee development
- Strong experience managing and/or leading culture and change management or organizational development initiatives
- Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with HR systems and tools, such as Workday or similar HRIS
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including those related to employee relations and labor relations
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation, including the ability to inform HR strategies with data-driven insights
