About the Role

The Partner Operations team at Marqeta plays a vital role in driving global strategies to enhance the company's core technology and capabilities. As a Senior Director of Network Partnerships, you will lead the development, management, and optimization of key relationships with network partners, including payment, debit, ATM, and money movement providers. Your expertise will be crucial in driving growth, maximizing incentives, and establishing favorable terms to enhance the economics of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and managing successful network partnerships within the card payments and issuing ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align network partnerships with the company's overall objectives and growth goals. The Partner Operations team is a key division within Marqeta's broader Go-To-Market Organization, and your leadership will be critical in shaping the company's strategic direction. What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with network partners to drive growth and maximize incentives

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in building and managing network partnerships within the card payments and issuing ecosystem
  • Proven track record of driving growth and innovation through strategic partnerships
  • Deep understanding of network economics, including interchange, assessments, and incentives
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to optimize partnership terms and drive data-informed decision-making
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
