About the Role
The Sr Director, Strategy & Delivery - Neurodegenerative role is a critical position within Syneos Health, responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases. This role will focus on pre-award or post-award activities, depending on the needs of the business. As a seasoned director, you will act as a primary senior-level contact for customers, providing overall strategy and direction of clinical trials, processes, and procedures.The Clinical Solutions team at Syneos Health is dedicated to delivering exceptional results, built on a foundation of expertise, passion, and a deep understanding of customer needs. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive project success, foster trusted relationships with clients, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
What You Will Do
- Provide overall strategy and direction of clinical trials, processes, and procedures
- Act as Scientific Director/consultant as required by project needs
- Participate in customer proposals, Request for Information (RFIs), presentations, proposal defenses, and Steering Committees
- Provide scientific/regulatory oversight and project/therapeutic training to project teams
- Interact and collaborate with the Medical Writing department in the preparation of clinical development plans, protocols, investigator brochures, and medical/clinical reports
- Coordinate the acquisition of necessary medical/scientific input from outside experts/consultants/advisors
- Represent the Company by attending industry meetings, speaking engagements, participating in booth exhibitions, and publishing scientific or industry-related articles
- Develop and implement strategic client engagement plans to drive long-term partnerships and organizational growth
- Lead executive governance, resolving high-impact escalations and delivering innovative solutions
- Oversee and influence high-stakes proposal development and bid defense strategies
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in clinical trials, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial strategy, delivery, and client management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Experience with project management tools and software
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical trials
- Certification in project management or a related field
