About the Role
The Sr Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the clinical research operations team at CoverMyMeds, providing financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making. This fully remote position, based in the US, offers the opportunity to work with a leading organization in the healthcare sector. As a key member of the team, the Sr Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and managing departmental budgets, analyzing financial data, and creating forecasting models.The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for financial improvement and implementing processes to enhance financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry being highly desirable.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including variance analysis and forecasting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Create and maintain financial models to support business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial processes and controls
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive management
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and planning
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
- Develop and implement financial metrics and benchmarks to measure performance
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry highly desirable
- Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including GAAP and financial modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software applications
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
