About the Role

The Senior Inside Sales Representative will play a vital role in driving sales growth and expanding Merit Medical's customer base in the Northeast region. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for presenting and selling specific product groups to new accounts, while maintaining close relationships with existing clients. Your ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions will be essential in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and driving business results.

As a Senior Inside Sales Representative, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and alignment. What You Will Do

  • Present and sell specific Merit product groups to new accounts and existing clients
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and sales growth
  • Coordinate with customer service to set up new accounts and process orders
  • Create and manage mail, email, and sampling campaigns to targeted contacts
  • Prepare and submit pricing contracts to clients
  • Follow up with clients to identify opportunities to increase sales volume and profitability
  • Resolve problems with clients regarding manufacturing or delivery issues
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales staff to ensure timely product delivery and stay informed about new products
  • Make decisions within approved authorization limits regarding product pricing to optimize sales volume and profitability
  • Provide market intel and assist with the implementation of sales strategy
  • Prepare reports summarizing sales results, contacts made, and suggestions for improvement
  • Participate in sales training and planning meetings to learn about new products and marketing promotions
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about Merit and competitor products
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new inside sales representatives
  • Set and achieve personal performance goals for sales volume, new contacts made, and other related sales results

What We Are Looking For

  • Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree
  • At least three years of combined direct sales or outbound sales experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and understand the needs of others in a sales relationship
  • A high degree of personal integrity and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other sales tools
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
