About the Role
The Senior Java Engineer role at PradeepIT involves designing, developing, scaling, and enhancing internal and external microservices that encapsulate the platform's functionality. As a hands-on lead, you will be responsible for platform design, development, architecture, execution, and adoption. You will collaborate with architects, developers for code reviews and troubleshooting, and engage with business leaders, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into executable solutions.The role requires a deep understanding of Java development, with a minimum of 8 years of experience and proficiency in Spring framework, Spring Boot, and MicroServices. You will also need to have experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and developing a world-class team of engineers. You will foster a high-performance culture and collaborate with team members and SRE teams to improve system stability and observability.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, scale, and enhance internal and external microservices
- Take a hands-on lead in platform design, development, architecture, execution, and adoption
- Collaborate with architects, developers for code reviews and troubleshooting
- Engage with business leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand business needs
- Ensure applications and processes adapt to business changes or changes to technology
- Stay abreast of latest/emerging technologies
- Collaborate with team members and SRE team to improve system stability and observability
- Hire, mentor, and develop a world-class team of engineers
- Foster a high-performance culture
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Java developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Proficiency with Spring framework, Spring Boot, and MicroServices
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL)
- Strong SQL and database management skills
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Ability to work in an agile team with an understanding of software development lifecycle
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience working with Salesforce
- Experience with Kafka & Elasticsearch and working knowledge of JavaScript, Query, and Bootstrap
Nice to Have
- Experience in one other language, either Ruby/Rails or Python
- Working knowledge of industry-leading technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
