About the Role

The Sr Manager, Account Management role at FORWARD is a critical position that requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical skills, and leadership abilities. As a key member of the Growth team, this role is responsible for identifying, tracking, and responding to new opportunities across the national market. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the public sector and non-profit industries, as well as experience working with Salesforce and Excel.

The role entails developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth. The Sr Manager, Account Management will also be responsible for mentoring a diverse team of account managers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, track, and respond to new business opportunities across the national market
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector and non-profit industries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and identify new business opportunities
  • Mentor and support a diverse team of account managers
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand existing customer relationships
  • Create pitch decks and proposals for customers
  • Track prospect information and generate leads
  • Provide timely reporting to senior-level management on goals, metrics, and lessons learned
  • Coordinate on-site meetings, plan networking or social events, and ensure hotel or other accommodations for team members
  • Serve as a thought leader to customers and provide guidance on how to run assistance programs at scale

What We Are Looking For

  • 10-15 years of B2G sales and/or account management experience
  • Strong understanding of the public sector and non-profit industries
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Excel
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence government agency partners
  • Strong discovery and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively identify and understand customer needs and connect them to business opportunities
  • Experience leading a high-performing team of sales professionals
  • Solution-oriented and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize workload

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a remote environment
  • Knowledge of the legislative budget process
  • Experience with proposal writing and pitch deck creation
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Certification in sales or account management
