About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Clinical Data Product Owner at McKesson, you will play a critical role in advancing the future of oncology data and real-world evidence. You will lead a team of product owners and oversee end-to-end clinical data management workflows across Ontada's core Data Platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming complex business needs into scalable data solutions, driving the development of research-grade datasets that fuel cancer research and evidence generation.The role is part of Ontada, a pioneering organization that is redefining the landscape of oncology data and real-world evidence. As a leader in this space, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and research, to drive innovation and excellence in clinical data management.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading and mentoring a team of product owners, fostering a culture of ownership, operational excellence, and accountability. You will drive end-to-end clinical data management workflows, translate business requirements into clear data and technical specifications, and align the data management roadmap with organizational priorities.
What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor a team of product owners across four pods, ensuring consistent and standardized data management practices and execution approaches.
- Drive end-to-end clinical data management workflows, including requirements gathering, ingestion, integration, reconciliation, validation, and delivery of research-grade datasets.
- Translate business requirements into clear data and technical specifications that align with Ontada's data strategy.
- Align the data management roadmap with organizational priorities, defining pod-level plans, milestones, dependencies, and required resources.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies, developing and executing mitigation strategies.
- Own data management prioritization across pods, balancing speed, completeness, accuracy, and data quality.
- Partner with PMO and pod product owners to maintain accurate JIRA backlogs, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain operational dashboards to provide visibility into progress, forecasting, resource allocation, risks, and timelines.
- Ensure rigorous QA and validation processes to deliver research-grade, high-integrity data.
- Continuously refine and improve data processes using quality metrics, operational insights, and customer feedback.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in clinical data management, with a strong background in leading cross-functional teams and driving end-to-end data workflows.
- Strong technical acumen, with expertise in data management tools and technologies, such as Excel, JIRA, and data visualization platforms.
- Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to foster a culture of ownership, operational excellence, and accountability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and research.
- Experience in driving operational excellence, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery.

- Experience in working with oncology data and real-world evidence, with a strong understanding of the clinical and research context.
- Certification in data management or a related field, such as CDMP or CCRP.
- Experience in working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
