About the Role

The Sr. Manager, PMO Lead role at Owens & Minor is a critical position that requires a seasoned project management professional to lead and manage complex projects across the organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building and leading project management standards, governance, and best practices across the QSight product suite. Your expertise will ensure that projects are aligned to strategy, executed efficiently, and deliver measurable value. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated environments, such as healthcare or medical devices, and a strong understanding of project management principles and practices. You will lead a team of project managers and own high-impact, customer-facing programs, driving projects from initiation through close, managing stakeholders, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget. As a PMO Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and evolving PMO frameworks, standards, and governance, and will partner with senior leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Establish and evolve PMO frameworks, standards, and governance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers
  • Oversee project portfolio alignment, prioritization, and performance
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end
  • Partner with senior leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives
  • Track KPIs and provide clear reporting on project health, risks, and outcomes
  • Drive resource planning and optimize utilization across projects
  • Lead stakeholder communication, risk management, and escalation
  • Champion continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation
  • Develop and maintain project management documentation and templates
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred)
  • PMP or similar certification (preferred)
  • 7-9 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare or medical device preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven decision making
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of digital transformation and automation principles
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, or Jira
  • Certification in lean six sigma or similar process improvement methodology
