About the Role
The Senior Manager - Total Rewards at GE Vernova is a pivotal role that involves leading compensation practices for a grouping of countries within Europe. This role is not just about managing compensation; it's about providing expert consultation and leadership on compensation strategy, program implementation, and regulatory compliance to HR and Business Teams across the region. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring that compensation programs are not only competitive and equitable but also compliant with local regulations and aligned with the business strategy.Day-to-day, this role entails close partnership with Country HR Leaders, business leaders, and global Total Rewards stakeholders. The ability to operate independently and make disciplined decisions while balancing regional business needs with enterprise-wide principles and standards is essential. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership across regional compensation practices, offering the opportunity to make significant impacts on the company's compensation landscape.
What You Will Do
- Partner with Country HR Leaders on the rollout and localization of compensation programs, tools, policies, and processes across multiple European countries.
- Drive adherence to governance and disciplined decision-making, balancing regional needs with enterprise standards.
- Build effective working relationships across HR, business leadership, finance, and legal teams to support high-quality compensation solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in compensation processes and program effectiveness.
- Provide compensation guidance on pay-related decisions to HR leaders, People Partners, and business stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve salary structures and pay ranges using market intelligence and local market dynamics.
- Ensure compensation policies and practices align with local legal and regulatory requirements and company philosophy.
- Monitor changes in compensation-related legislation and partner with stakeholders to assess impact and implement updates.
- Support the application of job architecture, job evaluation, and leveling frameworks to align roles with compensation structures.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support compensation decisions and broader Total Rewards strategy.
- Lead and provide project management on global Total Rewards initiatives.
- Offer Total Rewards support for a defined client group or business line.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
- Significant professional experience in compensation, Total Rewards, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing compensation practices in a regional, country, or business-aligned role.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consultative partnership skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to operate independently with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence and advise HR and business leaders on complex compensation matters.
- Experience in a global, matrixed, and fast-paced environment.
