About the Role
The Sr Named Account Manager position at Proofpoint is a pivotal role focused on driving growth across the Nordics. This involves not only acquiring new business but also expanding existing relationships with large enterprise accounts. As a key member of the Nordics & Benelux team, you will work closely with system engineers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that enhance customer security and foster long-term partnerships.Day-to-day, you will engage in high-level discussions with executives, understanding their security needs and presenting Proofpoint's comprehensive suite of security, compliance, and information protection solutions. Your ability to analyze threats, devise tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of Proofpoint's products will be essential in driving sales success.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key decision-makers in enterprise accounts across multiple verticals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including system engineers and sales professionals, to develop and execute account strategies that meet customer needs and align with Proofpoint's sales methodology.
- Drive new business acquisition through identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, leveraging channel partnerships, and introducing Proofpoint's solutions to potential clients.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of Proofpoint's cybersecurity solutions.
- Analyze and report on pipeline progression, forecast accuracy, and account performance to ensure operational excellence and inform strategic decisions.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial engagement to closing deals, ensuring timely execution and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's product offerings, cybersecurity market trends, and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market.
- Provide input on product development based on customer feedback and market insights.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all sales processes, policies, and procedures.
What We Are Looking For
- Preferably a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proven success in enterprise technology sales, ideally with SaaS and cybersecurity solutions, with a track record of exceeding sales quotas and winning new business.
- Strong executive selling skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives (CISO, CIO, CMO) in complex buying cycles.
- Experience in managing and closing deals in the range of €100K–€1M.
- Familiarity with formal sales methodologies (such as MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, Command of the Message).
- Fluency in either Danish or Swedish, along with English.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity market trends and the competitive landscape.
- Soft skills including a growth mindset, strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- An entrepreneurial approach with a sense of urgency and strategic thinking.
