About the Role
The Sr. Program Manager, Engineering role at CrowdStrike is a critical position that involves leading complex, cross-functional programs to drive the company's infrastructure development. As a key member of the Infrastructure Foundations team, you will be responsible for partnering with engineering teams to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives, including cloud migrations, platform modernization, and reliability improvements. Your primary focus will be on driving the scheduling, scoping, and execution of large-scale infrastructure programs, ensuring timely delivery against the roadmap and aligning with business priorities.The role requires strong technical depth, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills. You will work closely with functional teams and geo-locations to collaborate and ensure dependencies are well-known, critical issues are identified, and driven to resolution. This high-visibility role demands strong ownership, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate complex technical context to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Drive strategic infrastructure programs, leading cross-functional teams to deliver critical initiatives
- Translate business and engineering priorities into clear roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- Create and drive project schedules, working with engineering management on task assignments and managing schedule progress
- Establish and monitor key success metrics, including delivery timelines, reliability improvements, cost savings, and team velocity
- Proactively identify and communicate risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and opportunities that impact infrastructure strategy
- Orchestrate cross-functional execution, collaborating with staff and management of multiple business units
- Partner with leadership and technical teams to drive project deliverables, resources, and timelines
- Ensure quality documentation, change management processes, and operational readiness for all infrastructure changes
- Triage inbound requests, issues, and help coordinate operational escalations
- Identify, track, and manage dependencies within and across teams, escalating critical blockers and driving resolution with urgency
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in program management, engineering, or a related field
- Strong technical expertise in infrastructure development, cloud migrations, and platform modernization
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, SRE, and product management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the cybersecurity industry
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Certification in program management, such as PMP or Agile
