About the Role

The Sr. Quality Specialist, MFLC role is a critical component of Magellan Health's quality team, responsible for driving continuous quality improvement initiatives across the organization. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement process enhancements, and monitor progress towards quality goals. The Sr. Quality Specialist, MFLC role is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals. What You Will Do

  • Conduct audits of operational procedures, processes, and reported outcomes to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans to address gaps and increase compliance with contractual requirements
  • Lead and perform all aspects of audit processes, including planning, testing, data collection, and analysis
  • Prepare objective, factual reports of audit outcomes, including best practices, opportunities for improvement, training needs, and future risks
  • Coordinate with vendors on outreach and interventions
  • Prepare status reports on activities and outcomes of interventions and activities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and trending of performance measures
  • Support survey administration and collection of responses
  • Provide documentation for quality reports required by the contract
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop process enhancements
  • Monitor progress towards quality goals and adjust strategies as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in quality improvement, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to enter data accurately into spreadsheets and prepare professional-looking documents and reports
  • Proficient in data management, data analysis, reporting, word processing, and project management, preferably with Salesforce and Microsoft Office platforms
  • Basic statistical skills, with ability to collect and analyze data
  • High degree of organization, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably in healthcare or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a related field, preferably in healthcare or a related field
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience working with Adjust and Excel
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
