About the Role

The Senior Sales Manager position at GE Vernova is a key role that involves leading sales efforts in the data center market. This role requires a strong understanding of the data center industry, as well as the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client accounts and developing new business opportunities across multiple states.

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be working closely with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that address client challenges. You will also be responsible for forecasting orders, margins, and sales for key customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to interact and function cooperatively with multiple stakeholders and customers.

The data center market is a rapidly growing industry, and this role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of products and services, including Power & Distribution Transformers, High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Instrument Transformers. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for the sale of Grid Solutions Power Transmission business line products and services
  • Manage key client accounts and develop new business opportunities across multiple states
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that address client challenges
  • Forecast orders, margins, and sales for key customers
  • Develop and own strategic customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Drive identification, prospecting, and creation of new sales opportunities
  • Provide feedback regarding market trends, pricing, and competition to product line marketing
  • Perform periodic account reviews with management
  • Develop written strategies for pursuing opportunities at Data Centre strategic customer accounts
  • Collaborate with regional directors to develop and execute sales strategies
  • Analyze and resolve problems, and lead programs and projects as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct sales, channel sales, or account leadership experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong understanding of the data center industry and the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to interact and function cooperatively with multiple stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems, and lead programs and projects as needed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills

Nice to Have

  • 3 years or more of proven successful sales experience in the Data Centre industry
  • Experience developing and executing successful growth strategies
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
  • Experience with Power & Distribution Transformers, High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Instrument Transformers
