About the Role
The Sr. SAP Developer role at J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. is a critical position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in SAP development, configuration, and implementation. As a key member of the IT team, the successful candidate will partner closely with business users and SAP project teams to translate business requirements into technical requirements across complex SAP environments.The Sr. SAP Developer will lead the analysis, design, development, configuration, documentation, and support of SAP systems, contributing to enhancements and new implementations. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, mentor other developers, and collaborate closely with colleagues in the U.S.
What You Will Do
- Partner with business areas to create requirements to resolve business application needs and problems
- Perform analysis and design based on business requirements
- Produce technical design requirements and documentation and accurate development estimates
- Perform configuration of systems as defined by business requirements and technical specifications
- Perform master data preparation, cleansing, migration, and support
- Perform code development for the SAP systems
- Promote strong quality practices by performing unit testing and providing appropriate level of support for user acceptance testing, as needed
- Serve as a resource to the Business Analyst and Project Lead for providing technical leadership on projects
- Identify and recommend alternatives for changing business needs, opportunities, and process improvements
- Communicate with outside resources and vendors on new initiatives and technologies
- Share knowledge of critical business processes and systems as well as knowledge of newer technologies with others
- Work with other areas of IT to resolve operating system, network, integration, and data issues
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or technology-related field
- 6+ years of experience in design, development, configuration, implementation, and support of application systems
- 3+ years of development and configuration experience in SAP
- Demonstrated experience in SAP programming languages and development tools
- Proficiency in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite
- Ability to design, develop, configure, and implement a wide variety of SAP modules and functions
- Knowledge in ABAP, WebDynPro for ABAP, Web UI, and other web and .NET development techniques
