About the Role
The Sr. Software Development Engineer role at Zoom Communications, Inc. is a remote position that allows you to work from various locations throughout the United States. As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for developing Open APIs for 3rd party app developers to integrate with the Zoom Video communication platform. Your expertise in system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting will be crucial in supporting the Zoom Open API platform.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and AWS, among other technical skills. You will collaborate with other teams to support API integrations into multi-platform environments, ensuring seamless communication and integration.
What You Will Do
- Develop Open APIs for 3rd party app developers to integrate with the Zoom Video communication platform
- Support the Zoom Open API platform with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers if applicable
- Collaborate with other teams to support API integrations into multi-platform environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for APIs and integration processes
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to API integrations
- Develop and implement automated testing for APIs and integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and AWS
- Strong understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Java/Java Spring Boot software development
- Knowledge of NoSQL, ElasticCache, and S3
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an agile development environment
