What You Will Do
- Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with account executives to drive business growth
- Coach junior solutions architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions
- Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications
- Develop and deliver customized solutions to help customers achieve their goals and drive business growth
- Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize customer needs and develop solutions
- Provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape
- Travel up to 30% when needed to meet with customers and teams
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform and its applications
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of customer-facing technical experience in a pre-sales capacity
- Ability to engage in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle
- Experience with coding in a core programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn a base level of Spark
- Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platform(s)
- Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with data analytics and data science applications
- Ability to navigate a competitive landscape and provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs
Nice to Have
- Experience with Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform or similar data analytics platforms
- Knowledge of data science and machine learning applications
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions
- Certification in data analytics or data science
