About the Role
The Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer role at Dexcom is pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based systems. What You Will Do
- Architect robust and scalable architectures on GCP to support the organization's applications and services
- Lead efforts to provide agentic AI platform services to ensure Dexcom IT's ability to scale and meet evolving automation needs
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems to ensure optimal resource utilization, scalability, and reliability
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) in cloud environments
- Configure identity and access management, network security, encryption, and auditing/logging solutions to protect data and resources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on architecture decisions and implementation strategies
- Document design decisions, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing
- Mentor junior team members in cloud architecture, security, and compliance best practices
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, and compliance
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
