The Firefox User Research team is a collaborative and dynamic group that values evidence-based decision-making. As a senior researcher, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, marketers, and data scientists.
What You Will Do
- Own strategic quantitative research initiatives from scoping business needs to synthesizing data and communicating actionable recommendations
- Utilize a variety of research methods to embed quantitative insights into the product development lifecycle
- Partner cross-functionally to develop and own a research roadmap and identify high-impact research opportunities
- Analyze and translate complex data sources to build cohesive, evidence-based perspectives that guide product decisions
- Champion user-centered decision-making by advocating for user needs and influencing leaders across functions
- Elevate the quantitative practice by mentoring peers, refining methods and tools, and scaling approaches that increase the visibility and impact of user insights
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate user research into data-driven decision-making
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends
- Communicate complex research findings to non-technical stakeholders and ensure that insights are actionable and impactful
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in user research, product research, or an applied research setting
- Proven expertise in quantitative research methods, including survey design, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, design, engineering, and marketing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex research findings to non-technical stakeholders
- A passion for advocating user needs and driving user-centered decision-making
- Experience with research tools and software, such as Qualtrics, SPSS, or R
- A strong understanding of the technology industry and the role of user research in product development
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an open-source or non-profit environment
- Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence applications in user research
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation design
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the role of user research in Agile teams
