About the Role

The Senior Transportation Analyst plays a vital role in managing and executing freight invoice audit and payment processes. This position is central to ensuring timely and accurate payments, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence and financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have expertise in freight audit, transportation, and logistics finance, with a strong understanding of Excel and Salesforce. As a key member of the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, the Senior Analyst will work closely with various teams, including Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Systems Support, and Finance. The role entails developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution. The Senior Analyst will also investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies and generate key performance indicator (KPI) reports to support process improvement and month-end close activities. What You Will Do

  • Develop, document, and continuously refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution
  • Ensure accurate freight audit is occurring in systems and procedures are being followed to audit standards
  • Partner with and audit pay system owners or account managers for logic or coding changes needed
  • Ensure accurate general ledger coding and cost allocation
  • Proactively investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies, balance due issues, and potential duplicate payments
  • Generate and analyze KPI reports on audit and payment activity
  • Manage and resolve carrier invoice disputes, making informed decisions on approval or rejection based on audit findings and contractual terms
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers, providing clear guidance and training on proper invoicing procedures
  • Proactively monitor and manage payment system queues, troubleshooting and resolving invoices in error status
  • Effectively manage cases within Salesforce.com
  • Mentor and train team members and new hires on freight audit and payment policies, procedures, and system functionalities

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role
  • Intermediate level Excel skills, including V/X Lookups and Pivot Tables
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools
  • Experience working in ERPs (SAP, Oracle), TMS platforms, or freight audit systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of transportation law and regulations
  • Certification in supply chain management or logistics
