About the Role
The Senior Workfront Solutions Specialist plays a critical role in MERGE's mission to deliver innovative marketing and technology solutions. This role is about more than just configuration; it's about understanding the client's long-term operational goals and creating tailored solutions that support their growth. As part of a global team, you'll have the opportunity to work with diverse clients, leveraging your technical expertise and strategic thinking to drive meaningful results.Day-to-day, you'll be working closely with clients to understand their needs, designing and implementing Workfront configurations that align with their business strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that every configuration is not just technically sound but also strategically viable.
The role is part of a broader team focused on delivering Whole Human Marketing solutions, recognizing the complexity and multidimensionality of human interactions and using AI to create natural, contextual, and relevant brand interactions.
What You Will Do
- Configure Workfront to meet the sophisticated needs of clients, focusing on deep-tier settings, custom forms, and complex project templates.
- Serve as the primary technical specialist for Workfront, ensuring that configurations support scalable, high-level strategies.
- Partner with the Lead Architect to vet technical blueprints and provide insights on technical viability and sustainability.
- Design workflows that support meaningful business reporting and cross-functional visibility, ensuring seamless connections between platforms.
- Act as the lead for technical problem-solving, resolving complex logic issues and identifying 'quick wins' to streamline client workflows.
- Develop your skills toward an Architect career path by participating in high-level solutioning and learning to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Execute detailed technical setups that allow clients to scale, ensuring every configuration is durable, logical, and future-proof.
- Create and maintain technical 'as-built' documentation that explains the business logic and strategy behind the setup.
- Ensure all work meets the team's 'gold standard' for delivery, focusing on clean logic and repeatable patterns.
- Assist in technical audits by facilitating discovery and gathering system data to identify areas where current configurations may hinder a client's strategic growth.
What We Are Looking For
- Technical expertise with at least 5 years of experience in Martech or Marketing Operations, and at least 3 years of hands-on technical configuration in Workfront or similar enterprise-level SaaS.
- A Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to solve technical problems strategically, understanding the impact on the wider ecosystem.
- Deep knowledge of Workfront objects, logic, and layout templates, with the ability to build complex, logic-based workflows.
- Experience working with integration platforms and an understanding of API structures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical configurations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workfront Fusion, Workato, or other integration platforms.
- Knowledge of AI and its applications in marketing and technology.
- Certification in Workfront or similar technologies.
