The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve assisting with the monthly and quarterly close process, including the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Collaboration with external auditors for the annual audit and reviews will also be a key part of this position, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

What You Will Do

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in improving financial reporting processes and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors to provide support for the annual audit and reviews.
• Support the Accounting Manager with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
• Contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts to support business planning.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and reconcile accounts.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting and close processes.
• Experience leveraging AI, automation tools, or advanced technologies to improve accounting workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member, meeting tight deadlines in an agile environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
• Familiarity with financial systems including ERP (Netsuite), Numeric, Zip, Navan, and/or similar systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker's products and services, or similar software development tools.
• Certification in a related field, such as CMA or CFA.
