About the Role
As a Staff Backend Engineer at Kalepa, you will play a critical role in building the company's core product, an AI operating system designed to revolutionize the insurance industry. - Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Develop and implement automated testing and deployment scripts
- Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement new features
- Work with the design team to ensure that backend systems are integrated with frontend systems
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for backend systems
- Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the team's velocity
- Collaborate with other engineers to share knowledge and best practices
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in building scalable and efficient backend systems
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of database systems and data modeling
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Excel and other productivity tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
