About the Role

As a Staff Data Engineer at Imagine Pediatrics, you will be part of a hybrid team that includes Analytics Engineers, working together to define how data moves through the platform and owns the data pipelines that power clinical analytics, operational reporting, and external integrations. This critical role requires a deep understanding of data ingestion and integration decisions, considering the impact of data freshness, grain, and structure on downstream processes and systems. What You Will Do

  • Define and implement data pipelines to support clinical analytics, operational reporting, and external integrations
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to ensure data integration decisions align with downstream analytical usage
  • Develop and maintain data architectures that meet the evolving needs of the company
  • Design and implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop solutions
  • Develop and maintain documentation of data pipelines and architectures
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new data initiatives
  • Troubleshoot data issues and collaborate with the team to resolve problems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering
  • Contribute to the development of best practices in data engineering within the company

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data pipeline development and management
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and data warehousing principles
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data integration tools, such as Apache Beam or Apache NiFi
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
