About the Role
As a Staff Data Scientist at Twilio, you will be at the forefront of driving growth across the full sales funnel, with a specific focus on revolutionizing cross-sell and upsell initiatives. You will be part of a highly visible Data Science & Analytics team, serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the company focused on growth. Your day-to-day will involve bridging the gap between complex data science and actionable business outcomes, turning raw data into high-impact data products.Your role will involve close collaboration with great minds across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance, ensuring that data-driven insights inform business decisions. You will be responsible for designing the brain behind Twilio's revenue engine, identifying leading indicators of revenue, and building data science models that surface high-potential opportunities.

What You Will Do
- Translate business objectives into a data science roadmap that prioritizes high-LTV growth
- Dig into the science of Twilio's self-service funnel and graduation to Sales to uncover optimization opportunities, diagnose issues, and provide actionable recommendations through data products
- Identify leading indicators of revenue and build data science models that surface high-potential opportunities
- Serve as a key technical advisor to GTM leadership across Sales and Marketing
- Build extensive knowledge of user behavior, the customer purchase and usage experience, and the lead funnel to inform data science solutions
- Develop sophisticated recommendation engines that identify 'next-best-action' opportunities within the existing customer base
- Build robust frameworks to measure the incremental impact of data products, moving beyond simple correlation to prove true ROI
- Leverage machine learning and generative AI capabilities to support Product-led-growth (PLG) initiatives
- Partner with Data Engineering to define the long-term roadmap for GTM data architecture
- Oversee the seamless integration of data products into the daily workflows of stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably in a fast-paced technology company
- Proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights and recommendations
- Expertise in machine learning, data modeling, and data visualization
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales and marketing principles

- Experience with generative AI and its applications in business growth
- Knowledge of cloud communications and the technology behind Twilio's products
- Certification in data science or a related field
