Job Description

About the Role

The Staff Demand Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of accuracy in Sunrun's bulk consigned inventory management program. This position will be responsible for managing the consigned inventory throughout the network, supporting installation schedules across all locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning and inventory management, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.

The Staff Demand Planner will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making energy more reliable and affordable. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Builder Operations and Business Units, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. The Staff Demand Planner will report to a senior manager and will be responsible for providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.

What You Will Do

  • Minimize cycle count variance issues and perform deep dive analysis to understand and resolve any cycle count variances
  • Ensure coordination and execution of monthly cycle count process across active partner warehouses
  • Eliminate 'work in progress' through immediate measurement of material movement from partner warehouses to construction sites
  • Build and develop the NH Traceability Program and ensure complete partner compliance with serial number job site scanning
  • Maximize ITC revenue through fund compliance with FEOC and domestic content requirements
  • Manage the Master SKU List and ensure alignment between the list, Bills of Material, Virtual Inventory Warehouse, proposals, and plan sets
  • Coordinate and execute SKU adjustments as needed to comply with Safe Harbor changes in the Sunrun supply chain
  • Work with Builder Operations to manage product changes
  • Collaborate with Business Units on refinement of materials forecasts
  • Track and manage inventory performance for all Install Partner locations
  • Optimize material flow and efficiency in the value chain through continuous improvement of inventory management strategies and tactical execution

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Demand Planner, Master Scheduler, Production Control Analyst, in a build-to-order environment
  • Experience with inventory management and demand planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with data analysis and process improvement
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics

Nice to Have

  • APICS certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with materials management and virtual inventory management
  • Knowledge of solar industry and renewable energy
  • Experience with continuous education in related fields
