About the Role

The Staff Designer, Brand role at Docker is a senior in-house design position that will lead the development and maintenance of the company's visual identity. As a key member of the Marketing team, this role will be responsible for ensuring consistent branding across all surfaces, from the website to marketing materials and product design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, a keen eye for detail, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain Docker's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all surfaces
  • Lead the design of docker.com and adjacent marketing surfaces, including information architecture, page layouts, and visual treatment
  • Extend Docker's visual language into the product portfolio, with a focus on AI products
  • Design and implement AI-assisted creative workflows across image generation, video, and motion
  • Conduct lightweight UX work in support of marketing goals, including wireframes, flow diagrams, and usability reviews
  • Partner with marketing leadership to translate company strategy into brand and visual approaches
  • Design for print, trade shows, event activations, SWAG, and other physical goods
  • Set and raise the craft bar across Marketing's design output, reviewing work and providing meaningful feedback
  • Collaborate with external creative partners, agencies, and contractors to inform their work and evaluate deliverables

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of design experience, with a focus on brand, visual, and web design
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems, illustration, web design at scale, and motion
  • Experience working with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows
  • Strong understanding of design principles, visual systems, and human-centered design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the tech industry, specifically with SaaS or developer tools
  • Knowledge of 3D design and video production
  • Familiarity with Figma and other design tools
  • Experience with front-end development and web design
