About the Role
The Staff Engineer, Revenue Management & Intelligence at Salesloft is a pivotal position that will play a critical role in shaping the company's predictive revenue system. This system is designed to empower revenue teams with AI-driven insights, allowing them to make more informed decisions and drive consistent growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of distributed systems and platform infrastructure, as well as experience working with cutting-edge technologies such as Java and Excel.As a key member of the engineering team, the Staff Engineer will work closely with cross-functional partners to design and develop ground-breaking AI-driven enterprise-grade applications. This will involve brainstorming with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to conceptualize and build new features that meet the evolving needs of Salesloft's growing user base.
The Staff Engineer will also be responsible for debugging production issues, improving engineering standards, and driving the adoption of AI tooling. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of a revolutionary software platform that is changing the way revenue teams operate.
What You Will Do
- Shape future-proof interfaces that are easy to build against and meet the requirements of client-facing teams
- Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend Engineers, and other cross-functional partners to conceptualize and build new features for the growing user base
- Produce high-quality results by leading or contributing heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack, and uplevel the observability and reliability of the overall system
- Improve engineering standards, and AI tooling adoption
- Collaborate with the product team to define and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and onboarding
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
- Develop and execute automated tests to validate system functionality
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in building distributed systems or platform infrastructure designed for high-scale, data-intensive workloads
- Expert-level proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented language
- Familiarity with infrastructure tooling such as Airflow, Kubernetes, Ray, and Terraform
- Experience with service frameworks such as FastAPI and gRPC
- Knowledge of observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, and Splunk
- Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and enterprise-grade applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI-driven systems and machine learning algorithms
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions such as AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience with security compliance frameworks
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Asana
