Staff Enterprise Architect

About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role involve engineering and maintaining software configuration, deployment, and automation processes, as well as troubleshooting and resolving recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions. The Staff Enterprise Architect will also contribute to the long-term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova's Compute strategy, participating in domain technical and business discussions to shape the future architect direction.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and run HPC platforms on AWS Cloud, focusing on deployment efficiency and platform reliability
• Engineer and maintain software configuration, deployment, and automation processes to ensure seamless operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions to minimize downtime
• Drive continuous improvement in platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency to meet business objectives
• Use AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and operations for better resource allocation
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutions that meet product rollout needs and business-driven outcomes
• Deliver architecture roadmaps and projects to fulfill product rollout needs and business-driven outcomes, ensuring alignment with company strategies
• Contribute to the long-term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova's Compute strategy, including participation in domain technical and business discussions
• Assist in the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation based on a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
• Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
• Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and knowledge in cloud infrastructure and HPC platforms

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with a minimum of 6 years of experience
• 5-7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or systems architecture, with a strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deployment
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments, including experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and configuration management
• Knowledge of HPC schedulers, storage, and networking, with proven ability to identify root causes and solve systemic technical issues
• Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques for optimization and operational improvement, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization, with the ability to foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, and rally teammates
• Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

Nice to Have

• Experience with leadership roles, including demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel
• Familiarity with Change Management/Acceleration capabilities, with strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement
