About the Role
The Staff Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, building, and operating High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms on AWS Cloud, ensuring deployment efficiency, platform reliability, and AI-enabled optimization. This role is crucial in driving the adoption of cloud technologies and leveraging AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization and operations. As part of the GE Vernova team, the successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutions.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role involve engineering and maintaining software configuration, deployment, and automation processes, as well as troubleshooting and resolving recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions. The Staff Enterprise Architect will also contribute to the long-term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova's Compute strategy, participating in domain technical and business discussions to shape the future architect direction.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and run HPC platforms on AWS Cloud, focusing on deployment efficiency and platform reliability
- Engineer and maintain software configuration, deployment, and automation processes to ensure seamless operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions to minimize downtime
- Drive continuous improvement in platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency to meet business objectives
- Use AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and operations for better resource allocation
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutions that meet product rollout needs and business-driven outcomes
- Deliver architecture roadmaps and projects to fulfill product rollout needs and business-driven outcomes, ensuring alignment with company strategies
- Contribute to the long-term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova's Compute strategy, including participation in domain technical and business discussions
- Assist in the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation based on a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
- Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and knowledge in cloud infrastructure and HPC platforms
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with a minimum of 6 years of experience
- 5-7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or systems architecture, with a strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deployment
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments, including experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and configuration management
- Knowledge of HPC schedulers, storage, and networking, with proven ability to identify root causes and solve systemic technical issues
- Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques for optimization and operational improvement, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization, with the ability to foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, and rally teammates
- Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

- Experience with leadership roles, including demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel
- Familiarity with Change Management/Acceleration capabilities, with strong analytical and problem resolution skills
