About the Role

The Staff Forward Deploy Engineer sits at the critical juncture of customer needs and product development, driving the integration of SentinelOne's AI-native platform into customer environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of autonomous detection and response capabilities, working closely with customer engineering teams and internal codebases to ship integrations, fixes, and platform improvements. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for translating ambiguous requirements into actionable solutions, building integrations, and contributing to the development of new features.

Day-to-day, you will navigate complex problem spaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, and customer executive stakeholders. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's mission to protect global enterprises and critical infrastructure from emerging threats. What You Will Do

  • Develop full-stack software solutions using React and Java to meet customer requirements
  • Partner with customers to understand their environments, goals, and constraints
  • Design and deliver integrations that connect SentinelOne products into customer environments
  • Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and executive-level communications to enable customer independence
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive product improvements and fix issues
  • Support pre-sales scoping and early engineering input to shape successful outcomes
  • Write robust tests, tackle bugs, and ensure top-notch security in your code
  • Move between codebases regularly, including on escalated issues that span multiple products
  • Carry field learnings back into product and engineering planning to advocate for customer needs

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack engineering
  • Strong proficiency in React and Java, with the ability to learn new technologies
  • Experience working with customers to understand their environments and deliver technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex problem spaces
  • Experience with AI-native platforms and cybersecurity solutions
  • Ability to own customer engagements end-to-end and lead technically across unfamiliar codebases

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and scalable columnar databases
