About the Role
The Staff Product Analyst role at Deepgram is a pivotal position that will accelerate the company's evolution from a single-product transcription company to a comprehensive voice AI platform. As the first product analyst on the team, you will report to the VP of Product and work closely with product managers and designers to establish the measurement infrastructure and experimentation frameworks that drive self-serve and product adoption. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the self-serve funnel, driving conversion from signup to first programmatic API/SDK request, which directly impacts self-serve revenue and sales-qualified leads.Deepgram is the leading platform in the emerging trillion-dollar Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and building production-grade voice agents at scale. With over 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations already building voice offerings powered by Deepgram, the company is poised for significant growth. Your role will be critical in informing strategic investment decisions and identifying patterns across the multi-product portfolio.

What You Will Do
- Own the analytics strategy for self-serve growth, designing experiments, building measurement infrastructure, and driving insights that increase conversion from signup to first programmatic request.
- Build robust, repeatable analytics pipelines and dashboards from the ground up using Superset and Heap Analytics.
- Partner directly with product managers and designers to define success metrics, establish baselines, and instrument products correctly.
- Design and analyze experiments across the developer journey, with a deep understanding of API/SDK adoption patterns.
- Collaborate with analytics partners in Marketing and Sales to connect product usage signals with acquisition, activation, and downstream sales outcomes, building a holistic view of the end-to-end PLG funnel.
- Surface patterns in product adoption and usage, providing data-driven recommendations to improve the overall customer experience.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products, services, and customer base, to effectively advise on product roadmap decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in product analytics, experiment design, and AI, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the company's analytics capabilities.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics, with a proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights.
- Expertise in programmatic and Excel, with the ability to design and implement complex analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles, with experience in integrating AI into product development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Superset, Heap Analytics, or similar technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in designing and analyzing experiments, with a deep understanding of statistical concepts.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
