About the Role

The Staff Product Designer, Core UI role at Lattice is a unique opportunity to craft the future of their platform. As a key member of the Core UI team, you will be responsible for designing complex, cross-product workflows that span multiple surfaces and touchpoints. Your expertise in visual and interaction design will be crucial in shaping the user experience of Lattice's platform.

The Core UI team covers a wide range of critical user touchpoints, including navigation, homepages, mobile app strategy, design systems, and more. As a Staff Product Designer, you will play a key role in evolving the platform's foundation, driving cross-product cohesion, and setting a high bar for design quality across the suite.

What You Will Do

  • Design complex, cross-product workflows that span multiple surfaces and touchpoints
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the platform's design system and contribute to its evolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research to drive design decisions
  • Develop and maintain design specifications and documentation to ensure design consistency
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Participate in design systems initiatives to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and maintain a unified design language
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet business goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Expertise in designing complex, cross-product workflows with a track record of simplifying systems that span multiple surfaces and touchpoints
  • Expert-level understanding of visual and interaction design, including typography, hierarchy, spacing, grids, and responsive layouts
  • Proven experience designing for responsive systems at scale, ensuring solutions work seamlessly across devices, screen sizes, and contexts
  • Strong systems thinking and design system expertise, with the ability to design within an established system and evolve, extend, and create new patterns to meet emerging customer needs
  • Proven experience shaping design direction at scale, having worked closely with User Research and cross-functional partners to identify problem spaces, articulate solutions, and lead adoption of changes across products or teams
  • High-quality execution and stewardship, ensuring designs are implemented with rigor and consistency, providing direction to other designers and engineers where necessary
  • A champion of feedback culture, regularly giving feedback that elevates other designers' work, mentoring teammates, and modeling transparency in sharing and iterating on design

Nice to Have

  • Contributed to or led horizontal product teams and/or design systems initiatives
  • Experience influencing platform-wide strategy in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Formal training or deep craft expertise in typography, systems design, or interaction principles
  • Proficient in front-end development (HTML/CSS/React) and able to bridge conversations and action between design and engineering
