## About the Role Affirm is looking for an experienced Staff Product Designer to join their team, focusing on evolving operational frameworks, maturing visual language, and championing a unified experience across consumer and merchant products.
## Responsibilities - Strategic Architecture: Define and grow the logic, token strategy, and governance of Affirm's Design System - Visual Evolution: Refine the visual language of the Affirm Design System, designing scalable systems and frameworks with a focus on clarity and performance - Cross-Platform Parity: Ensure a consistent user experience across Web, iOS, and Android - Operational Excellence: Collaborate on detailed documentation and usage guidelines to reduce friction for product teams - Collaboration & Bridge Building: Serve as a primary translator between Design and Engineering - Evangelism & Education: Host office hours, run workshops, and mentor senior and mid-level designers on systems thinking - Metrics & Analysis: Analyze internal metrics to inform design decisions
## Requirements - Experience with design systems and visual language - Strong understanding of cross-platform design - Excellent collaboration and communication skills - Proficiency in Excel
## Nice to Have - Experience with design tools and software - Knowledge of front-end development principles
