About the Role

As a Staff Product Designer at Gitlab, you will lead design for foundational platform experiences that touch every workflow, regardless of stage. This role involves deep collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and designers to translate ambiguity into clear direction and define solutions that improve the experience for developers and DevSecOps teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive design decisions
  • Solve persistent problems that span organizational boundaries
  • Contribute to the Pajamas Design System and mentor other designers

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adjust and Excel
  • Experience in leading design for complex, cross-cutting platform experiences

  • Familiarity with AI-driven design tools and processes
