About the Role
The Staff Product Designer role at Dropbox is a unique opportunity to lead the design of CompanyOS, an AI-native operating system that is revolutionizing the way companies work. As a key member of the New Initiatives Org, you will have the chance to work on a product that is shaping the future of work. You will be responsible for defining and driving the user experience and interface of CompanyOS, partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and the Office of the CEO.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, with a portfolio that showcases their ability to design intuitive and engaging user experiences. You will be expected to conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and push design quality with Dropbox's design systems.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive the user experience and interface of CompanyOS
- Develop and iterate on wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas and user flows effectively
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions
- Translate complex technical concepts and requirements into intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences
- Push design quality with Dropbox's design systems and collaborate with engineering to ship quality experiences
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, team members, and users to refine and improve the user experience
- Partner directly with the Office of the CEO to turn ambiguous problems into clear, intuitive workflows
- Develop and maintain design documentation and standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on user experience and interface design
- A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to design intuitive and engaging user experiences
- Experience with design systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of user research and usability testing methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and autonomy
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-native operating systems or similar technologies
- Knowledge of front-end development principles and languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Certification in design or a related field
