About the Role
The Staff Product Designer role at Remote is a unique opportunity for a seasoned designer to drive excellence in craft across multiple teams. As a key member of the Pay Ecosystem Product Design team, you will be responsible for designing user interfaces that empower customers to pay anyone, anywhere safely and compliantly. With a focus on innovation and user-centered design, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.The Pay Ecosystem team is one of the most strategically important and high-profile teams at Remote, and as a designer, you will be challenged to tackle complex and fascinating problems. Your expertise in designing for enterprise users will be essential in creating experiences that meet the needs of Remote's global customer base.
What You Will Do
- Design intuitive and user-centered interfaces for payroll and payment solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Remote's customers and their needs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate your vision
- Conduct primary research to inform design decisions and drive innovation
- Advocate for design excellence and educate stakeholders on the importance of design
- Lead design discussions and workshops to drive consensus and resolve debates
- Develop and maintain design systems and standards to ensure consistency across products
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple projects and priorities
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on user-centered design and enterprise users
- Expertise in designing complex B2B SaaS solutions for industries like HRTech, FinTech, etc.
- Strong portfolio that showcases your ability to design holistic and scalable systems
- Masterful communication skills, with the ability to build strong narratives around your design work
- Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with a proven track record of delivery
- Strong understanding of visual and interaction design fundamentals
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Knowledge of front-end development principles and HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Experience with design systems and standards
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
