Job Description

## About the Role As a Staff Product Designer at Lattice, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience for the company's Performance Reviews product area. This is a unique opportunity to revolutionize the performance review process for the AI era, and you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer stakeholders, to define, scope, and execute against solving customer and business needs.

The Product Design team at Lattice is a passionate group of individuals dedicated to growing together. With a team size of around 13, spanning Brand Design, Product Design, and Research, you will have the opportunity to work closely with your colleagues to ensure holistic thinking and high-quality experiences for customers. Lattice's product suite is designed to support over 5,000 customers globally, and as a Staff Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing systems, not features. This means that you will need to understand how the Performance Reviews product fits into the entire customer journey and work to ensure that the customer experience is cohesive, not disjointed.

## What You Will Do - Own the end-to-end user experience for the Performance Reviews product area - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, scope, and execute against solving customer and business needs - Design systems, not features, understanding how the Performance Reviews product fits into the entire customer journey - Partner deeply with other product areas to ensure the customer experience is cohesive, not disjointed - Work closely with your engineering team throughout the design and development process, bringing your team along and ensuring every detail of the design is implemented in a high-quality way - Lead through ambiguity and own the hardest design problems - Champion and evolve the design system, setting the visual, UX, and interaction bar for the team - Prototype in code, push pixels in design, and write documents that align the room - Make thoughtful tradeoffs to ensure that the team is always working on what matters most

## What We Are Looking For - 7 to 10+ years of experience designing complex workflows, particularly flows that move across or have an impact on multiple products within a suite - Expert-level understanding of visual and interaction design, including typography, hierarchy, spacing, grids, and responsive layouts - Strong systems thinking, with proven success working with an established design system, reusing existing components, and driving the evolution of that system by building new components and layouts - Experience working across multiple teams to connect the dots, regularly considering the holistic user journey and how individual design decisions impact the cohesion of that journey - Experience deeply understanding customers and their needs, working closely with User Research and Data to collect and evaluate both qualitative and quantitative feedback - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team - Ability to work in a high-trust, collaborative environment, taking ownership of your work while supporting and elevating the rest of the team

## Nice to Have - Experience working with AI-native products and designing for the AI era - Knowledge of design systems and how to evolve them over time - Experience working with remote teams and collaborating across different time zones - Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD - Experience with front-end development and coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
