About the Role
The Staff Product Designer role at Miro is a unique opportunity to lead the charge for the company's Prototypes product, defining the future of how millions of people bring their ideas to life. As a key leader within the Canvas Modes stream, you will contribute to the design process, culture, and experience principles, setting new standards for design quality. The role requires a deep understanding of AI and its applications in design, as well as the ability to drive innovation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.The design team at Miro operates in a fast-paced environment, with a direct impact on the millions of users who rely on the platform to collaborate and create. As a Staff Product Designer, you will be responsible for articulating a vision that disrupts the norms and looks to where the market is going, leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership to navigate ambiguity and build lean experiments.

What You Will Do
- Define and drive the North Star for Miro Prototyping, articulating a vision that disrupts the norms and looks to where the market is going
- Explore how generative AI can collapse the gap between a rough sketch and a full-functioning app
- Approach the product with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership, navigating ambiguity and building lean experiments
- Leverage your deep understanding of the design tool landscape to create a best-in-class experience that rivals any competitor
- Partner with Product and Engineering to solve complex technical challenges around AI quality, discoverability, and the seamless transition between the 'infinite canvas' and 'Prototypes Focus Mode'
- Set the bar for design excellence at Miro, mentoring other designers and contributing to the evolution of our design systems and internal tooling
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the design tool landscape, including competitor analysis and market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless content solutions, including product management, UX design, and engineering
- Drive the long-term design strategy for Prototyping at Miro, ensuring the company is not just keeping pace with the market but setting it
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or AI-focused roles
- At least 2-3 years operating at a Staff / Principal level, with proven ownership of complex initiatives
- A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create clear, user-focused products and strategies
- Demonstrated experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering
- Deep understanding of AI and AI design tooling, with the ability to show you're leading the charge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of design and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
- Proven experience working on design tools, editors, or creative software
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, managing multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of UX practices, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel, with the ability to analyze and visualize data to inform design decisions
- Knowledge of design systems and internal tooling, with the ability to contribute to their evolution
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones
