About the Role
The Staff Product Manager, Dashboard, plays a pivotal role in transforming Stripe's Dashboard into a powerhouse for payment professionals. This involves shaping the strategy, amplifying its impact across the company, and driving user productivity. As part of the Dashboard team, you will be responsible for the scaffolding of the Dashboard, governing frameworks, and core experiences. Your mission will be to evolve the Dashboard to meet the needs of any business model, improving wayfinding mechanisms, and shaping the information architecture for better interoperability.The role requires intense collaboration with engineering and design teams across different time zones to ship high-impact functionality. You will define and track success metrics for quality and performance and partner with senior leadership to uphold ambitions for quality at scale. This position demands a unique blend of systems thinking, storytelling, and data science, with the ability to influence across product teams to achieve significant changes.
What You Will Do
- Evolve the Dashboard to meet the needs of any business model
- Improve wayfinding mechanisms to increase user productivity and product discovery
- Shape the information architecture to encourage interoperability
- Develop a strategy and roadmap for a more personalized Dashboard
- Write the playbook for interoperability across the numerous layers of indirection in the Dashboard
- Partner with third-party developers to understand how the Dashboard can better serve their needs
- Make the Dashboard easier to use and more powerful
- Own the strategy and roadmap that makes the Dashboard uniquely good for any business model
- Collaborate with engineering and design across time zones to ship high-impact functionality
- Define and track success metrics for quality and performance
- Partner with senior leadership to understand and uphold ambitions for quality at scale
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in product management, design, or engineering with at least 3+ years in a senior capacity making company-level product decisions
- Strong understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles and best practices
- Technical familiarity with personalization systems, data modeling, and machine learning
- Strong written and verbal communication across business, design, and engineering audiences
- Demonstrated experience leading company-wide initiatives influencing technical roadmaps
- Ability to thrive in horizontal roles requiring intense collaboration and influence across product teams
- Systems thinking, storytelling, and data science skills
