## About the Role As a Staff Product Manager for Data Products and Contracts at Actian, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data management. The role entails leading the roadmap for Data Products and Contracts within Actian's data intelligence product, focusing on key areas such as policy enforcement, materialized data products, data quality automation, and business impact analytics.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of data products and contracts, coupled with the ability to translate customer and stakeholder needs into innovative product features. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including Engineering, Design, Security, and Go-to-Market, to ensure the delivery of best-in-class data management experiences.

## What You Will Do - Own the roadmap for Data Products and Contracts within the data intelligence product - Develop and execute the strategy for data products and contracts, focusing on policy enforcement, materialized data products, data quality automation, and business impact analytics - Participate in the product lifecycle from discovery through launch, iteration, and adoption - Set success metrics, prioritize features, and ensure high-quality execution - Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Security, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver data management solutions - Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive a best-in-class data management experience - Build relationships with key stakeholders and business partners - Work with Go-to-Market teams to position the value proposition, shape product messaging, and drive adoption - Understand customers’ needs and work with them to bring new solutions to market - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Solution Architect - At least 1 year of experience owning zero-to-one or early-stage product launches and/or startup experience - Strong technical understanding of data products and data contracts - Ability to translate customer and stakeholder needs into innovative product features - Track record of shipping enterprise-grade SaaS features from ideation through scale - Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term vision - Customer-driven approach to product development - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field - Experience working in a remote environment and managing remote teams

## Nice to Have - Deep domain expertise in data management (e.g., data catalogs, databases, data architecture) - Experience with data quality open standards (e.g., ODCS, ODPS) - Familiarity with agile development methodologies - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, and Go-to-Market
