About the Role
The Staff Product Manager - Fraud position at Plaid is a critical role that involves driving the development of the company's fraud prevention platform. As a key member of the fraud team, you will be responsible for managing the identity verification and anti-money laundering (AML) systems, ensuring the security and integrity of financial transactions. The role requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry, as well as the technical expertise to develop and implement robust security solutions.The successful candidate will be a seasoned product manager with experience in fraud prevention, risk management, and GTM strategies. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and sales, to develop and launch new products and features that enhance the company's fraud prevention capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute the product roadmap for identity verification and AML systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and launch new products and features
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop GTM strategies and launch plans
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with fraud and security threats
- Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of fraud prevention systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in fraud prevention and risk management
- Collaborate with data science teams to develop and implement machine learning models for fraud detection
- Work with the design team to develop user-centered design solutions for fraud prevention products
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on fraud prevention, risk management, or security
- Strong technical foundation, with a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience building or integrating fraud detection, risk scoring, or identity verification systems
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry and relevant regulations
- Experience with GTM strategies and launch plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis and metrics development
