Staff Product Manager, NerdWallet Native App

About the Role

Day-to-day, you will be working closely with engineering, design, data, compliance, and external financial partners to deliver products that deepen how millions of users connect with their financial lives. Your expertise in product development, combined with your ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, will be crucial in driving meaningful outcomes for both consumers and the business.

What You Will Do

• Define a long-term vision for the Native App team and shape product strategy to achieve it
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted and scalable financial experiences
• Identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into actionable product strategies
• Guide teams from discovery through launch and iteration
• Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to improve activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value
• Develop secure, scalable, and compliant account capabilities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external financial partners to navigate tradeoffs across speed, reliability, and risk
• Mentor and influence product managers and cross-functional partners to raise the bar for product thinking and execution
• Leverage AI thoughtfully to improve team efficiency at scale and enhance consumer personalization, recommendations, and decision-making

What We Are Looking For

• 10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives
• Ability to define product vision and strategy, and connect it to execution through clear priorities and outcomes
• Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous or constraint-heavy environments
• Experience building or contributing to financial products, platforms, or systems involving money movement, accounts, or similar capabilities
• Comfort working across disciplines, including engineering, design, data, and business teams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and bring others along
• Analytical thinking and a data-driven approach to product development

Nice to Have

• Experience working in regulated or high-stakes environments
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles and their application in product development
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
