About the Role
The Staff Product Manager, Search & Monetization role at Mozilla is a critical position that owns the strategy and execution for search within the Firefox Desktop browser. This role operates at the intersection of product experience, revenue growth, and partner strategy, ensuring sustainable engagement and long-term value for users and Mozilla. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of search and monetization, as well as experience in product management, experimentation, and data analysis.As a key member of the Firefox Desktop Search & Monetization team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business development, to drive the product strategy for search and monetization. Your expertise will help shape the future of search and monetization at Mozilla, driving revenue growth and user engagement while prioritizing user experience and privacy.
What You Will Do
- Own and drive the product strategy for search within the Firefox Desktop browser to grow search engagement and revenue
- Lead end-to-end experimentation across browser search access points, default search experiences, and monetization surfaces
- Define clear success metrics in partnership with Data Science, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable decisions
- Partner with Business Development to support search partnerships and ensure product execution aligns with contractual and strategic commitments
- Navigate complex trade-offs between user experience, privacy principles, technical constraints, and revenue outcomes
- Contribute to quarterly and annual planning, identifying risks, opportunities, and long-term strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the search and monetization landscape, including market trends, user behavior, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution of product initiatives
- Work closely with design teams to develop user-centered design solutions that meet product requirements
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of revenue-impacting product areas
- Proven experience leading experimentation programs and driving measurable business outcomes
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with product analytics tools and SQL
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the search and monetization landscape
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems

- Experience with machine learning and data science applications
- Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
