About the Role
The Staff Product Marketing Manager position at Grafana Labs is a pivotal role that requires a deep understanding of the technical audience and the ability to develop Go-To-Market (GTM) programs that effectively communicate the value of Grafana Labs and its products. As a key member of the Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for messaging and positioning across key personas and product areas, working closely with both product management and enablement to facilitate buyers' purchases and sellers' sales. The role is embedded within the Product organization, indicating a focus on product marketing knowledge that can be codified into tools and processes accessible to the entire organization.Given the fast-paced and growing nature of Grafana Labs, this role demands both strategic planning and hands-on tactical execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for open source, cloud native, and infrastructure technologies, along with the ability to clearly articulate the value of technical products to customers and sellers alike.
What You Will Do
- Actively partner with Product Managers to define product value, messaging, and GTM strategy, from competitive positioning to sales enablement collateral.
- Partner with product management, engineering, and various go-to-market functions to create materials that aid customers in evaluating and adopting Grafana Labs' products.
- Own and manage the launch of new products or features relevant to target buyers.
- Conduct internal and customer research to understand pain points, competition, and opportunities.
- Teach go-to-market and sales teams how to gain value from Grafana Labs' products, including delivering training and enablement.
- Own customer lifecycle campaigns to strategically shape marketing programs and drive growth across the entire customer journey.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or product management.
- Experience with marketing and selling to a technical audience.
- A passion for open source, cloud native, and infrastructure technologies.
- Proven ability to take on complex projects and efficiently drive them from start to finish.
- Ability to clearly articulate the value of technical products to customers and sellers alike.
- Experience with GTM strategies and product launches.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with observability strategies and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
