About the Role

Join the innovative team at Ava Labs as a Staff Protocol Engineer specializing in the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This remote position focuses on maintaining and advancing Avalanche’s EVM-compatible blockchain solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain Avalanche’s EVM-compatible chains.
  • Design and implement new features on top of the EVM while ensuring ecosystem compatibility.
  • Contribute to specific projects including:
- libevm: A backwards-compatible fork of geth to minimize merge conflicts.
  • Streaming Asynchronous Execution: Enable concurrent execution without dormancy issues.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Golang, with a solid foundation in the language’s primitives.
  • Experience with Solidity and deploying smart contracts to production.
  • Understanding of the complete lifecycle of an EVM transaction.
  • Familiarity with geth internals is a plus.
