About the Role

The Deal Reporting team at Affirm is seeking a highly motivated Staff Software Engineer to empower their first international team. You will build integrations, services, and testing infrastructure to power the funding of every Affirm loan.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale
  • Collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle
  • Act as a force-multiplier for your team through technical solutions and operational processes
  • Ensure your team’s operations and availability through monitoring, triage rotations, and testing

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale
  • Extensive track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Spark and its inner workings

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of task orchestration systems like Airflow or Temporal
