About the Role

Docker is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team in building the future of containerized AI agents. The successful candidate will partner with engineering leadership to set technical direction and mentor the growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain containerized agent systems, focusing on isolation, scalability, and portability
  • Expand and evolve the open-source cagent project, adding new capabilities for containerized agent deployment and orchestration
  • Develop robust infrastructure for packaging, deploying, and managing agents in containers
  • Enhance agent capabilities with Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems
  • Design evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance and containerized deployment effectiveness

Requirements

The ideal candidate is currently located in London or has a reasonable commuting distance to London, with expertise in software engineering, AI, and container technology.
