Staff Software Engineer | iOS

What You Will Do

• Design, lead, build, and launch new products on Ramp's iOS app
• Drive the core product engineering roadmap and make important prioritization and scoping decisions
• Code review, set engineering standards, mentor, and own quality
• Work with Product and Design to plan and identify key features to make the app successful
• Collaborate with product and business teams to understand customer feedback and improve the product
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of iOS development, including Swift, iOS UI components, and mobile design patterns
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in iOS development and apply that knowledge to improve the app
• Work with the team to identify and prioritize technical debt and implement solutions
• Participate in the hiring process to help build a strong engineering team
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and ease of onboarding

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in iOS development
• A minimum of 2 years of technical leadership experience leading and/or managing teams
• Proficiency in Swift for iOS development
• Knowledge of iOS UI components and the iOS Developer Platform
• Experience contributing to at least one mobile app and/or several features that reached a large number of users
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft
• Drive to learn new technologies and adapt to different situations
• Strong understanding of mobile design patterns and best practices
• Understanding of security best practices for mobile apps
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ramp's mobile stack: SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, The Composable Architecture, Bazel, widgets, app extensions
• Experience with web apps (React, JS, etc.)
• Experience with backend technologies (Python, Flask, SQL, OpenAPI, etc.)
• Experience managing apps with App Store Connect
